A significant number of architecture and interior design professionals got firsthand knowledge of the most advanced ceramic solutions from Iris Ceramica Group.
Massimo Pregnolato, Business & Technical Developer at Granitech, presented three innovative ceramic installation systems theoretically and practically in the cities of Barcelona, Málaga, Madrid, and Lisbon.
The first of the three, Attract, is a magnetic installation method, quick and easy, which covers horizontal and vertical interior surfaces without the need for wet adhesives. The system relies on magnetic adhesion between the sheet located on the back of the tile and the one placed on the surface to be covered, which is then installed using a reinforced double-sided adhesive tape.
GHA, the second installation system developed by Granitech, stands out for its modularity. Composed of a porcelain stoneware tile with an attached layer of 1 to 2 mm of a mixture of rubber and low-compressibility cork, the system can be placed directly on existing floors, provided adequate flatness is ensured.
The last system, Mika, is distinguished by the arrangement on the back of the ceramic tile of a low-thickness mineral compound of 1 or 2 mm. A reinforcement that becomes one with the porcelain material thanks to the use of a factory-applied tri-component epoxy-thixotropic adhesive; significantly enhancing its mechanical properties and expanding its range of uses.
Matimex, in collaboration with Granitech, focuses its efforts on offering the best technical solutions to professionals, making available all the knowledge of Iris Ceramica Group in the field of innovation.
The series of presentations covered various locations, starting in Barcelona at the MatimexBCN Technical Office, continuing in Málaga at the Addictions Design Showroom, then in Madrid at the MatimexMAD Technical Office, and finally concluding in Lisbon at the Gama Uno Showroom.
