On the occasion of the Venice Biennale 2018, the Antonio Altarriba Architect Studios, Singular Project, Madrid in Love, Author Projects and Artext Paisajismo, accompanied by Ramón Carneros, Matimex Commercial Director, attended the sixteenth edition of the International Exhibition.
The visit to the Italy Pavilion was guided by MC A Architects, curator of the "Archipelago Italia. Projects for the future of the interior territories of the country ». The Pavilion takes the visitor on a trip through the Italian Archipelago with the purpose of giving visibility to the lesser-known Italian territory.
This space, sponsored by Iris Ceramica Group, a world leader in large ceramic formats, explores five of the areas of Italy that require specific interventions, such as the Apennines, which, while being custodians of an invaluable cultural heritage, show a country in contrast to the urban structure of Europe.
A reflection with international airs that discovers the wealth and potential of a part of the country, which corresponds to 60% of the national territory and some 4,000 cities where 25% of the population lives.
Located in Tese delle Vergini all'Arsenale, the pavilion exhibits the Group's materials in a 10-meter-long mural made up of large 300x100 cm ceramic tables customized with the innovative "DYS - Design Your Slabs" technology. The mural shows a drawing by hand of the architect Mario Cucinella that illustrates the concept of the project and the areas of intervention selected for the public.
The exhibition, which will remain open until November 25 of this year, has 61 national pavilions and 12 collateral events.
See you on the streets of Venice.
