Matimex GREEN builds a new concept of eco-active ventilated facade in the Medical and Welfare Center Milenium Alcobendas of Sanitas. We bet on sustainable architecture.MATIMEX, in its Green line , has showed an innovative constructive system of ventilated facade in the Medical and Welfare Center Milenium Alcobendas of Sanitas. The building has 1900 square metre divided in two floors and 1500 square metre of ventilated facade. This new concept presents, on one hand, a Ventilated Facade more versatile and safety which guarantees that the structure and slab reach the site as one single unit. On the other hand, the covering which defines the external face of the ventilated facade is an eco-active ceramic tile. This innovative ceramic tile application eco-activa, patented by Iris Ceramica, from Italy, is called Active Clean Air & Antibacterial Ceramic ™ and it is the first active ceramic method which fights against pollution, we can state that 1.500 m2 of ACTIVEpurify the Environment like 450 trees. The exclusivity of this product proposed by Matimex, the Spanish company of Iris Ceramica Group, it is not only its anti-pollution property, but also its anti-bacterial surface and its dirt repellent effect due to its hidrophylic property. The method of application of Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) on our slabs achieves tree properties:The elimination up to 70% of organic or inorganic pollutants, thereby purifyingthe air.The elimination of 100% of bacterias like Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae or Staphylococcus aureus . Bacterias which can cause urinary tract infection, infections of the skin, soft tissue infections or pneumonia or meningitis. The maintenance and preservation of aesthetic features of the material due to surfaces that, treated with ACTIVE, repel dirt. The spectacular benefits of this photocatalytic slab, which are activated by light and humidity, have been tested and certified by Tile Council of North America (TCNA) and by Bologna Ceramic Centre (CCB) in a special program for research and testing made jointly.Matimex provides with its constructive systems, the added values that sustainable architecture demands.
